Screen Print vs. Embroidery vs. Heat Transfer: Which Is Right for Your Logo?

Choose screen print for repeat graphics on compatible garments, embroidery for a dimensional stitched mark on stable areas, and heat transfer for detailed or personalized artwork where the garment and transfer are compatible. Artwork, fabric, quantity, placement, and hand feel should decide the method.

When screen print fits

It is often efficient for repeated artwork and can produce a direct graphic result. Review color count, coverage, underbase, placement, fabric surface, stretch, and desired hand feel.

When embroidery fits

It is commonly considered for polos, jackets, caps, and badges. Very small text or fine detail may need to be simplified, and the garment needs an appropriate backing and access plan.

When heat transfer fits

It can handle detailed multicolor work, names, numbers, and smaller quantities. The exact transfer system and pressing conditions must be matched to the fabric and tested in the sample.

Approve more than the artwork file

A proof confirms content and scale. A physical sample confirms texture, color appearance, placement, distortion, and the decoration's interaction with the garment.
