Fiber, weight, stretch, coating, color, panel access and heat tolerance rule methods in or out before artwork preference does.
CUSTOMIZATION, SPECIFIED PROPERLY
Compare decoration methods by garment, artwork, quantity and real-world use—not by a generic list of capabilities.
DIRECT ANSWER
As a general industry guide, embroidery may suit a premium stitched logo and screen printing may suit repeated bold graphics. DTG, DTF, dye sublimation and cut-film transfer each solve different artwork or personalization needs, but Teamwear Works confirms whether a named process is available and suitable for the exact order during quotation.
“Digital printing” is not a complete specification. DTG, DTF and dye sublimation are educational comparison categories here—not automatically confirmed services. Any quote must name the available process because each has different fabric rules, feel and limitations.

Fiber, weight, stretch, coating, color, panel access and heat tolerance rule methods in or out before artwork preference does.
Thread needs sewable shapes. Screens favor separable colors. DTG, DTF and sublimation handle tonal art differently. Cut transfers need weedable edges.
Quantity, repeated versus unique graphics, number of placements, size mix and reorder pattern determine which setup is economical.
Workwear abrasion, team stretch, outdoor weather, wash frequency and required breathability can matter more than the first visual impression.
PROCESS SNAPSHOT
| Process | Best use | Fabric fit | Order shape | Feel |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Embroidery | Premium logos, crests and names | Stable mid- to heavy-weight fabrics | Small to large; stitch count drives cost | Raised, textured |
| Screen printing | Bold repeat graphics and spot colors | Cotton, blends and tested polyester | Setup efficiency may improve as identical quantity rises | Varies with ink and coverage |
| DTG | Industry option for detailed cotton graphics; confirm availability | Suitable cotton-rich garments | Short runs and many print colors | Usually soft after washing |
| DTF | Industry option for full-color logos; confirm availability | Cotton, polyester and blends after testing | Short runs and personalization | Flexible applied layer |
| Dye sublimation | Industry option for all-over polyester graphics; confirm availability | Light-colored, high-polyester fabric | Panels or finished-garment applications | No raised print layer |
| Cut heat transfer (if available) | Names, numbers and simple marks | Heat-safe fabrics matched to the film | Singles, short runs and unique rosters | Thin applied layer |
PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY
These are useful starting points, not automatic approvals. The final garment specification and a production test take priority.
Embroidery often leads; tested print or transfer options may fit after confirmation.
02↗Several print routes may fit; fabric, artwork, run size and availability decide.
03↗Embroidery and screen printing are common; named digital options remain conditional.
04↗Review coating, membrane, seams and safe heat before decorating.
05↗Crests, names and numbers can be combined; any sublimated-panel route requires confirmation.
06↗Embroidery is common; shape and confirmed production capability limit other processes.

There is no universal winner. Correctly specified embroidery, screen printing and sublimation can all be highly durable. The practical answer depends on fabric, abrasion, stretch, wash process, artwork coverage and whether the process is applied correctly.
Embroidery or a confirmed digital or transfer process may suit small orders because some routes avoid multi-screen setup. The garment, artwork, finished feel, personalization count and current production availability still decide the route.
Yes. A team set might use embroidery for a crest and heat transfer for individual names and numbers. We check that the combined placements, colors, care requirements and production sequence remain practical.
Vector artwork is preferred for logos, but a high-resolution image can start the review. Also send garment type and color, decoration size and position, quantity by size, personalization roster, destination and deadline.
